Dave is a member of the Colorado Association of Realtors Legislative Policy Committee. Every year as the legislature is in session the committee reviews all proposed legislation and tracks and often gets involved in supporting or opposing legislation that affects property owners, tenants, businesses, regulation, water law and many other real estate related topics. Here is a summary of the bills reviewed this year by this committee and the final outcome of either the bill being passed and signed by the Governor or defeated or postponed indefinitely. There is a link for each bill so you can see the actual bill if you would like. Dave knows some of you are information junkies like him and might enjoy reading this. It actually is very valuable information. This year that are new regulations affecting HOAs, use of credit information for employers, water law, property tax appeals and homeowner insurance to name a few.
